I had the absolute pleasure and privilege to visit the vaccination centre at James Cook University Hospital this week.

Talking to anaesthetic consultant Andy Maund, matron Paula Taggart and interim director of nursing Moira Angel, I heard first-hand about the incredible work they are all doing – it takes a real logistical effort to roll out a vaccination programme of this scale.

Our whole NHS family is doing amazing work and it truly was an honour to be able to see and hear from those who are at the forefront of tackling this pandemic.
